Nimbus-Boorara silver-gold-zinc project near Kalgoorlie mineral resource of 12.1 million tonnes at 52 g/t silver, 0.2g/t gold and 0.9% zinc containing 20.2 million ounces of silver, 78,000oz of gold and 104,000 tonnes of zinc. (See table below and ASX announcement 30 April 2015.) This represents a 58% increase in silver, a 60% increase in zinc and a 66% increase in gold compared with the previous 2013 Mineral Resource Estimate Statement.
The Nimbus resources are in addition to the 232,000 oz of gold located at Boorara deposit 1km southwest of Nimbus.
In May 2016, a new high grade silver zinc resource was estimated from within the global Nimbus resource of 12.1 million tonnes at 52 g/t silver, 0.9% zinc, 0.2 g/t gold containing 20.2 million oz of silver, 78,000 oz of gold and 104,000 tonnes of zinc.
The high grade underground silver zinc resource for the Nimbus project of 255,898 tonnes @ 773 g/t Ag and 13% Zn has been estimated using a higher modelling cut-off grade of 500 g/t Ag and a top cut grade of 2800 g/t Ag was applied.
The high grade resource inventory includes lodes 3, 4, 5 & 7 from the high grade silver zinc resource which total 132,075 tonnes @ 968 g/t Ag & 19.36 % Zn (bottom cut-off grade 500 g/t Ag & top cut grade 2800 g/t Ag).
The recently increased geological understanding of Nimbus deposit provides MRP with a high level of confidence in the new high grade silver zinc resource, however further work is required to bring the resource up to a level required for future Ore Reserve estimations to be completed.

In January 2017, MRP Resources released an estimated total Mineral Resource at the Boorara Gold Project of 5.95 Million Tonnes @ 1.2 g/t for 232,000 ounces of gold is based on a 0.4 g/t gold cut-off grade (previously used 0.3 g/t) with a maximum top cut grade applied of 24 g/t.
The Mineral Resource Estimate (‘MRE’) at the Boorara Gold Project is a result of Macpherson Resources Ltd (MRP) drilling 182 holes for 16,974 metres and historical drilling of 937 holes for 74,498 metres.
The MRE for Boorara has been determined using the hard wireframe boundary of 0.4 g/t for mineralisation envelopes that will be used for future mining studies.
Approximately 90% of the total MRE is within 120 metres of the surface.
The discovery of western contact mineralisation has potential to add significant tonnes to the current MRE and will underpin future organic growth of the Boorara deposit as we move toward a decision to mine. The location of the western contact zone can be seen on figure 1 in relation to the existing resource.
Total of the MRE Measured and Indicated Resources is 4.65 Million Tonnes @ 1.2g/t for 179,000 ounces of gold.
Geological knowledge of Boorara from trial pit exposure, diamond drilling 29 holes for 2,950 metres and recent structural/mapping work all bodes well for discovering more ounces and project development.
The MRE has been estimated at a 0.4 g/t lower cutoff grade for the Boorara Gold deposit as follows:
|Resource||Tonnes (MT)||Grade (g/t)||Ounces (k'000)|
The top cut off grade varies depending on geological domain with the maximum top cutoff grade of 24 g/t applied. The MRE will be subject to further infill and extensional drilling over the coming quarters with a view to updating it to be used as the basis for a future ore reserve.
